Spice Up Your Noon - Ginger Fruity Iced Tea

When I was pregnant with my second son, I had to deal with heat. Unlike my first pregnancy, I was always sweating that a day will not pass without me taking a shower twice a day and a very chilled drink. Then a lot of
oversabis people started counselling me against it, telling me how bad it is for the baby and so on. Trust me, I would always say OK, but what I'll do is in me.
In my quest for having a cold drink daily, I stumbled on this beautiful, refreshing but simple recipe.
- 4 cups of water
- 1 Ginger
- 4 Tea bags
- 4 tsps. of Sugar
- 1 Lemon
- 2 apples (or 1 pineapple)
- 1 tsp of vanilla syrup
Add water and a clove of ginger to a kettle, and bring to a boil. Once boiled, add tea bags, reduce the heat, and leave for 2 minutes. The tea bags would have finished infusing into the water. Remove the tea bags and ginger, and pour the mix into a jug. Add sugar, lemon and the already blended and sifted apple (or pineapple/pear) and add vanilla syrup. Stir well and let it cool for about 30 minutes, then take to the freezer. Drink chilled and enjoy.
